Rob is a Chartered Accountant who has spent the past 15 years in senior finance roles in Australia and the United States, including five years as Windlab’s CFO. Rob leads Windlab’s corporate and project financing activities, and is responsible for all operational matters other than project development. His experience includes project and corporate financing, M&A, international tax structuring and the financial management of large construction projects.
Roger is the Chief Executive Officer of Windlab. He joined Windlab’s board in August 2007 and has been employed by Windlab since 1 March 2011.
Roger has over 30 years of executive, technology management, business development and extensive investment experience across multiple industries internationally. He has led a number of Australian technology companies to international success, including Windlab. He has led the financing, sale or acquisition process for more than 10 companies and raised in excess of $150,000,000 of equity for various enterprises during his career. He has been involved in the financing and delivery of infrastructure projects across a range of industries including telecommunication, transport and energy.
At Windlab he has been instrumental in building a team with deep experience across all facets of renewable energy development, finance and construction.
Keith is a co-founder of Windlab and has 25 years of experience in the fields of meteorology, wind flow in complex terrain, and computational fluid dynamics. Keith has been a weather forecaster in Atlantic Canada for Environment Canada, a research scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado and before Windlab was a Senior Research Scientist with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). Keith continues to develop and support Windlab’s global site identification program at the WindScape Institute and manages all R&D efforts including WindScape HDSM, Windlab’s Computational Fluid Dynamics tools and Windlab’s Machine Learning research and implementation.
Nathan is a co-founder of Windlab and a global leader in the field of wind resource assessment. He has been integrally involved in prospecting and project development activities across Windlab's global portfolio. As Technical Director, Nathan leads all technical activities including the application of WindScape technology, wind turbine procurement and project finance due diligence. Before Windlab, Nathan was employed as a post-doctoral fellow at leading research institutes in the UK (EnFlo) and Australia (CSIRO) where he was the lead developer of WindScape. Nathan is an Adjunct Fellow at the Australian National University’s Energy Change Institute where Windlab teaches Australia’s only post-graduate level course in Wind Energy.
Achim has worked in the international renewable energy industry for over 25 years.
Holding an electrical engineering degree Achim acted in a variety of roles including construction project manager, developer/owner/operator, independent engineer/consultant, investment advisor and equity provider.
Project experience spans from onshore and early offshore wind development in Germany, multi-mast resource measurement in China, to large-scale projects in Australia and South Africa. Achim has worked with many leading international companies in the industry covering all continents, amongst them PB Power, Pacific Hydro, Macquarie Capital and Wind Prospect.
Peter has led the Windlab growth in Africa for the past 6 years, growing the business to include Southern and East African countries, leveraging his extensive commercial leadership, focused on complex deal making and team leadership. Prior to Windlab, he was a pioneer in the field of big data related to energy, working for SAS Institute. He is a student of the global business environment and has a particular interest in corporate governance having completed his Masters on the topic.
Monica is Windlab's North American Vice President. Her substantive industry experience includes the development of projects across many states and provinces, including Alberta, British Columbia, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio and Wyoming. A number of these projects are now operational. Outside the wind industry, Monica is active in the Community Service sector with the Henry Ford Estate, Proud Lake Trail Riders and the Salvation Army.
Mark heads up Windlab’s Asset Management team. He has 28 years of power sector experience in various functions including utility operations, policy advisory, power project development and renewable asset management and operations. For the past seven years he was responsible for Globeleq’s portfolio of wind and solar projects in South Africa including construction oversight, asset management and full-scope operation and maintenance.
Mark holds postgraduate qualifications in electrical engineering, public policy and an MBA. He has served in various industry leadership roles.
