The Ishwati Emoyeni (meaning “candelabra flower in the wind” in the local Xhosa language) Wind Farm Project is located near Murraysburg in South Africa’s Western Cape Province. The site covers approximately 24,000 hectares.

The site was identified using WindScape in 2008 and the land was leased in 2010. The project is fully approved with the Environmental Authorisation being granted in 2016. Provisional Civil Aviation Authority  has also been given.

The project has several years of wind measurements from a number of monitoring towers and remote sensing SODAR units.
