The Msenge Emoyeni (loosely translating to “cabbage tree in the wind” in the local Xhosa language) is located near Bedford in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Province.

Msenge Emoyeni is the second phase of the greater Amakhala Emoyeni project concept, a 27,000 hectare area that is lightly populated yet close to good infrastructure such as roads and the national electricity grid.

The greater project concept has been awarded Environmental Authorisation following an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). Approval has been granted by the South African Civil Aviation Authority and Heritage Approval (from the South African Heritage Resources Agency) has been granted for the project.
