Windlab is pleased to announce that it has won an export award under the Emerging Exporter category. The presentation was made today at the ACT Chief Minister's Export Awards held at the historic Hyatt Hotel in Canberra.
The award recognises the achievements of Windlab's technical services division based at their Barton offices in Canberra. From Canberra Windlab is able to export services to clients and partners across the world. In the 08/09 year the company was involved in wind mapping, wind prospecting and wind energy assessment projects in Canada, Kazakhstan, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa and USA.
The company has a project development portfolio exceeding 4,500MW of wind farm potential spread across Australia, USA, Canada and South Africa. Wind monitoring and feasibility studies are underway on much of this portfolio and the most advanced projects are expected to move into construction later in 2009. A further 4,000MW of potential is under negotiation with landowners as Windlab seeks to expand its operations in the coming years.
