Our impact

All for people,
places, and the planet

We use science, expertise, and a partnership-first approach to deliver renewable energy projects that raise the bar, protecting landscape values, supporting communities, and creating long-term environmental benefit.

Raising the bar on sustainability

Our approach to sustainability is grounded in our commitment to do more for the environment, for people, and for our partners.

By leveraging our in-house expertise across disciplines, we continue to unlock projects that displace emissions, support healthier ecosystems, and deliver shared value. We are focused on creating solutions that are not only effective, but enduring.

Community at the centre

The people and places that host our projects are central to our success. We believe strong relationships are built on trust, transparency, and mutual respect.

We work closely with landholders, Traditional Owners, local governments, and residents to deliver clean energy solutions that benefit everyone, creating jobs, supporting regional economies, and strengthening communities.

Balancing decarbonisation and nature repair

We recognise that climate action and biodiversity protection must go hand in hand.

Windlab has established Australia’s first scientifically robust biodiversity net-gain strategy in renewables. From site selection to operations, we partner with experts, communities, and conservation groups to protect biodiversity and maintain ecological balance.

Our goal is not just to avoid harm, but to deliver net-positive outcomes for nature, people, and the planet.

Responsible planning from start to finish

We build end-of-life planning into lease agreements from the outset, supported by detailed decommissioning and rehabilitation plans.

Many components used in renewable energy projects retain value beyond their initial use. Equipment can be repurposed, recycled, or donated to support regional communities. As technology evolves, new solutions are emerging to recover materials from turbine blades and other components.

As projects near the end of their nameplate term, options like upgrading and repowering can extend their operating life and maximise value.

Safety and well-being at our core

Safety is more than a priority. It is a value that guides how we work.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety across development, construction and operations. That includes proactive risk management, strict compliance with regulations and a culture of safety-first decision-making.

At Windlab, safety goes beyond physical risks. We take psychosocial safety seriously because how people feel at work matters. Psychosocial hazards influence how we work, how we connect and how we lead.

We have embedded psychosocial safety into daily operations. Our values support this approach. Raising the bar, thinking differently and acting with care help us build a stronger, safer workplace. Wellbeing is part of how we lead, not just something we talk about.

Our approach was recognised nationally when Windlab was named a finalist in the 2025 National Safety Awards of Excellence for Best Solution for Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work.

We foster a culture where people feel empowered to speak up, take responsibility and help make our workplaces safer for everyone.
