The South Queensland Renewable Generation Hub comprises individually permitted, complementary wind, solar and battery storage projects within one region. The Hub is located about 40km from Wandoan and 60km from Taroom in rural Queensland, or about 450km north-west of Brisbane.
The Hub is a key part of Windlab’s strategic development pipeline, and a critical project for driving Australia’s clean energy transition. Ideally located on pastoral land, the individual projects will coexist alongside cattle operations on host properties and connect to the existing transmission network.
The Hub’s most mature project is a 1.4GW wind farm currently in early development and once operational will have the capacity to provide clean, green power to up to 750,000 Queensland homes.
